The Tower of Silence's goal is to be the largest initiative of active awareness to the cyclist safety and road through the Quebec on the following themes:
the responsible behavior of cyclists
the headset port (mandatory during the tour)
sharing the road and the mutual respect
the overrun of the cyclists
to do this, the FQSC on coordinated almost 25 Towers of Silence across all regions and the larger towns of Quebec.
The 1.2-mile swim takes place in Tremblant Lake, followed by a 1-loop, 56-mile bike through Mont-Tremblant's mountains. Athletes will then embark on the 13.1-mile run course, finishing in the city's pedestrian village.
The Granfondo Garneau-Cascades presented by Québecor is intended for you, whether you are an experienced cyclist wanting to push your own limits back or someone passionate wishing to ride at your own pace for a good cause. Come discover landscapes that will make every kilometer unique! The Granfondo Garneau-Cascades’ mission is to promote the benefits of physical activity while supporting a great cause. The profits generated by the event will be donated directly to the Petits Frères organization for the maintenance of the Old Friends’ cottage in Lac St-Joseph. This event of 110 km will be from Trois-Rivières to Quebec, following the 138 road.
10 km run in Saint-Augustin-de-Desmaure on the beautiful course of the Chemin du Roy. Main goal of the 10 km: run up the notorious Gagnon hill as fast as possible! The best climber will win the honors! Visit the Course section to find out about the total altitude difference.
Athletes will start the 2.4-mile (3.8 km) swim in Tremblant Lake, which in August boasts comfortably warm, wetsuit-legal temperatures. The quarter-mile run to T1 is lined with a soft red carpet, and cheering spectators. The two-loop, 112-mile (180 km) bike course runs through Mont-Tremblant's forests and low lying mountains, offering challenging elevations and highly spectator-friendly vantage points. The two-loop, 26.2-mile (42.2 km) run course takes full advantage of the famous Le P'tit Train du Nord, a former railway bed turned into the longest linear park in Canada. The crushed gravel is soft on the feet, and lined with enthusiastic spectators. The run takes runners past a waterfall alongside Tremblant Lake and into the heart of the pedestrian village of Tremblant Resort.

More than 90,000 athletes will participate in the IRONMAN 70.3 Series during the 2013-2014 season, which consists of over 50 events in locations such as Australia, Germany, South Africa and Switzerland. Participants in the World Championship will range in age from 18 to 70-plus and will represent over 50 countries. Each age group winner at the 2014 IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship will automatically qualify for the 2015 event. The IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship will offer a prize purse of $250,000 for distribution among the top professional male and female finishers. More than 2,000 volunteers from the local community will support the event.
